Celebrity Secrets - Acne Products that Work
An A-Lister's world is full of Photoshop, Instagram filters and professional makeup artists. It's hard to believe that celebs can have acne problems too - but they do! This is your all-access insider's pass to acne products that celebrities just can't live without, and how they can help you clear your acne too.
What do Kylie Jenner and Bella Hadid have in common?
They are both obsessed with Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. The spot treatment is formulated with salicylic acid, calamine and other quick-drying ingredients. The product is a two-part mixture of pink sediment and clear liquid that is said to shrink annoying whiteheads virtually overnight while you sleep.
Both girls took to Snapchat to post photos of themselves using the treatment. Hadid also posted a Snap of a care package she received from the brand.
"This is not an ad," the model wrote in her post. "My favorite skin care just sent me the best care package ever before my flight."
In addition to the Drying Lotion, Hadid's Mario Badescu care package included Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater
, Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber & Green Tea
, Flower & Tonic Mask
, Vitamin C Serum, Buttermilk Moisturizer
, A.H.A. & Ceramide Moisturizer
, and Herbal Hydrating Serum
.

Katy Perry still a fan of Proactiv
She's got the eye of a tiger and she's an acne fighter. In an interview with Refinery29, Perry said that she continues to use Proactiv acne products to keep her skin clear, even though she no longer represents the brand as their spokesperson.
"Proactiv doesn't pay me anymore — I have no relationship with them besides the fact that they've helped me so much," said Perry. "When I was 23, I had really bad skin [...] I had spent thousands and thousands of dollars on dermatologists and lasers, and then I started using [Proactiv] and I still use it to this day. I don't use the trio, just the exfoliant and the toner."
Proactiv is formulated with active ingredient benzoyl peroxide and is non-comedogenic (won't clog pores).
Demi Lovato visits her aesthetician
Demi Lovato and Lisa Rinna's aesthetician, Renee Rouleau, has given some insight into how celebs pay big bucks to zap pimples on the spot. Deep, cystic acne can take several painful weeks to go through its life cycle, often leaving acne scars in its place. A red carpet event will not wait lingering zits. Many celebs book an appointment with the dermatologist for a shot of cortisone - a steroid injection to relieve pain and inflammation. A treatment takes approximately 5 minutes and can reduce cystic acne overnight. An appointment for this first class service will set you back over $100.
Topical cortisone treatment is available at a fraction of the cost, however, niacin-based supplements are known to be very effective at reducing acne from beneath the skin. Skinphoria natural skin clarifying supplements provide a thorough skin detox, reduction in pimple inflammation and a boost of collagen production to keep skin health looking and smooth.
